He sits at his desk armed with caffeine, The light of his computer lighting his face As the bastard contemplates his morality; He does it because even he can't recognise his reflection. Of course he's trying to write fiction, But reality gets in the way; Why bother working on that commission When he can bitch in lyrical form. Doesn't even rhyme. What a bastard he is. He leans back in his office chair And in a rare moment of comfort for his back, He allows himself a sigh of relief, Before feeling the heavy weight of disappointment; Apparently grey clouds love to stick around.
